NRL Round 25 Preview - Bulldogs v Sharks @ ANZ Stadium

Canterbury Bulldogs v Cronulla Sharks @ ANZ Stadium

Preview - The Sharks will be hoping to secure their Top 4 spot with a win over the Bulldogs as they clash at ANZ Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The Sharks made it back-to-back wins at home against sides outside the finals’ race with a comprehensive 38-12 victory over the Knights. The Bulldogs continued their great form from over the past month with their best performance of the season in destroying the Dragons 38-0 on their own patch at Kogarah over the weekend. The Bulldogs have a chance to finish outside the Bottom 4 with another victory here.

Canterbury Bulldogs’ Scouting Report - Dean Pay has named an unchanged side from the one which was so dominant at Jubilee Stadium last week, as the Bulldogs seek to end their year on a high.

Cronulla Sharks’ Scouting Report - Shane Flanagan welcomes back one of his big guns with Matt Moylan returning at five eight in place of Kyle Flanagan.

Verdict - Sharks by 1-8

Think this will be a high quality game with the Bulldogs farewelling the Morris brothers and being in fantastic form of late. We have seen, of late, sides well outside the 8 rolling teams higher up the ladder, but the Sharks have an awful lot to play for here. They have a very experienced side and I think that, whilst they are not playing great, their winning mentality will kick in here. Expecting this game to be close throughout, but the Sharks to edge it to lock up a Top 4 spot.
