NFLWeek 3 - Monday Night Preview

Atlanta Falcons (1-1) @ New Orleans Saints (0-2) - Superdome

The Saints are in desperate need of a win when they welcome in division rivals the Falcons for Monday night football in the Superdome. The Saints went down in their first 2 games by narrow margins with a 1 point loss to Oakland and 3 point loss at the Giants last week. The Falcons rebounded from a home loss in week 1 to the Bucs with a surprise road win in Oakland. The offence flourished gaining over 500 total yards and Matt Ryan throwing for 3 touchdowns. The Falcons defence has started the year in poor shape and will need to improve in the Superdome against the dynamic combination that is Sean Payton and Drew Brees. 

Verdict - Saints 31 Falcons 30

I think this might be a shoot out between 2 teams with good quarterbacks that can really fling the ball around. The Saints and Falcons are also not known for their defensive prowess and I think in the dome conditions it will be perfect conditions for an upend back track and field meet type game. Going with the Saints at home as they desperately need to avoid a 0-3 start.
